vibe music late pass
January 27th, 2008ahhhhh. don’t you feel better?
word on the street that this song is a fine example of something called vibe music. sold! i’m a little vague on the details, but its a kinda chilled out hybrid of miami bass and southern rap with throwback r&b vocals and its main venue appears to be strip clubs. i mean, this stuff doesn’t sound thaaaat much more than misogynist “my boo”*: 2008 with more synth, but you know what?
i reeeeallly like that song.
and this stuff bangs hard.
from dirty south joe aka dj deluxxx aka JOEY MASERATI via the board and this french website…**
shawty redd-drifter
shawty redd produced sexual eruption/seduction and i wait with breath that is bated to hear more stuff from him. lol, this song also sounds like a twisted version of been around the world by lisa stansfield.
ballgreezy-shone
this stuff is from south florida and its shows. i’ve really never had the desire for raybans before this moment.
grindmode feat. rick ross-i’m so high
this song is painfully epic. it’s also six-and-a-half-minutes long. i’d like to have a really lazy karaoke session on the couch with these songs. and the cute little kid’s melody that pops in at minute five hits home.
january 2008: think big.
february 2008: build a vibe.
check.
*a more specific and honest answer would be that this sounds like “all good” by mo thug family
**yeah yeah, i am trying to get a music player soon or figure out how to use imeem. stay tuned!

just did a little googling on grindmode and all i have to say is that there’s something going on in Florida.
forget the movement, let’s build a vibe in ‘08.

“I’m so high” is amazing. It’s got this epic ambient music soundscape going on in the back that I’m really drawn to. If I was going to talk about this shit in Japanese, and then have it translated into English, it would sound like this: “The gentle synth feelings uplift my sexual aura.”
